The Culpeper Tech Zone is more than just a collection of data center campuses. It is the complete ecosystem of the industry.

Culpeper Technical Education Center (CTEC) and Germanna Community College (GCC) both sit in the middle of the zone.

CTEC is the community’s career and technical education center of Culpeper County Public Schools. CTEC students come from both public high schools, Culpeper County and Eastern View. Students can take a variety of classes including electrical, HVAC-R, carpentry, CAD, and more.

Germanna Community College’s Daniel Technology Center (DTC) is the western campus of GCC. The facility, complete in 2006, was designed for workforce development instruction and technology training. Academic training and early college classes are offered at the DTC.

The Town of Culpeper’s wastewater treatment plant is also in the zone. The plant, able to treat 6.0 million gallons of wastewater, discharges into Mountain Run. While the majority of the CTZ campuses will air cool or utilize closed-loop systems, the Town of Culpeper is planning to create a wastewater reuse system for water cooling of some data center campus.
