CULPEPER, VA — The Virginia Economic Development Association (VEDA) has honored the Culpeper County Department of Economic Development with a “Top Projects” award for their innovative workforce database, Work In Culpeper (WinC). Launched earlier this year, WinC serves as a comprehensive platform connecting Culpeper County businesses with their future workforce, providing entry-level job opportunities to local residents.

The VEDA Top Projects Awards program celebrates economic development initiatives that create a significant positive impact on communities.

Accessible at WorkInCulpeper.com, the free tool has already made a substantial impact by listing over 60 job opportunities since its launch. WinC is designed to facilitate direct connections between businesses hiring in Culpeper County and potential employees, particularly students.

Developed in partnership with Culpeper County Public Schools, Virginia Career Works, and the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce, WinC addresses a critical workforce need while promoting local talent. By streamlining access to job opportunities, the platform strengthens the county’s economy and fosters community growth.

Bryan Rothamel, Director of Economic Development, praised the platform’s success, stating, “WinC has already exceeded expectations by creating a clear pathway for local businesses to find qualified candidates while empowering our residents, especially students, to begin their careers right here in Culpeper County. This award is a testament to the power of collaboration and the potential of our community.”

The Culpeper County Department of Economic Development remains committed to supporting businesses at every stage of growth, from start-up to expansion. Programs like WinC exemplify the department’s mission to build a strong local workforce and sustain the economic vitality of Culpeper County.
