Culpeper County, VA – The Culpeper County Department of Economic Development is excited to celebrate Economic Development Week 2025 with a lineup of free events designed to empower, educate, and support local business owners across Culpeper County.
“Every May, we focus on supporting businesses through education, opportunity and celebration,” said Bryan Rothamel, Economic Development Director for Culpeper County. “This year, we’re proud to offer a full week of impactful events – completely free to attend.”
Kicking off the week is the 3rd Annual Culpeper County Conference (C3) Small Business Development Summit on Tuesday, May 13. This energizing half-day seminar features a lineup of engaging workshops- three time slots with two breakout options each hour – and concludes with a keynote luncheon, all free of charge. It’s a must-attend event for business owners and entrepreneurs in the Culpeper business community.
On Wednesday, May 14, join fellow business owners for the Culpeper Business Appreciation Reception at The Mulberry at Old Trade, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. This casual, celebratory event features delicious food provided onsite with additional items available for purchase.
Closing out the week on Thursday, May 15, Culpeper business owners are encouraged to attend the Foundation First Childcare Investment Luncheon at Stevenson Ridge in Spotsylvania. This powerful event will highlight how the business community can play a vital role in early childhood education, supporting today’s workforce while preparing the workforce of tomorrow. Jason El Koubi, President and CEO of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, will deliver the keynote address Followed by an insightful panel discussion featuring real-world strategies for business involvement in childcare initiatives.
Economic Development Week 2025 offers a unique opportunity for Culpeper County’s business community to connect, learn, and celebrate. In addition to scheduled events, the department will be surprising local businesses with fun, drop-in visits throughout the event.
